On our electronic products, we offer a lifetime warranty policy. Should your item ever stop working for any reason, please contact Customer Service to arrange for a repair, refurbish, or new replacement. It is Customer Services discretion on how we will warranty the item but we will make sure you are back up and running, regardless of how long ago you purchased your item. The Womb Music Heartbeat Monitor consists of a receiver unit that can detect the slightest of sounds inside the womb and sends signal output to a headset, earbuds, speaker or a display screen.

A sound wave is transmitted from the monitor to the uterus in the mommy's belly and an echo is then received back when the sound wave bounces off of the baby's heart. The difference between these two signals (sound waves) is measured to determine the baby's heartbeat.

It uses sound waves to detect the heartbeat similar to what a dolphin does to locate things in the water. Since inside the womb are a baby and a lot of water the principle is nearly the same. This technology is very similar to the fetal doppler your doctor uses when checking the baby during a doctor visit, with the exception that the Womb Music Heartbeat Monitor is designed for and safe for home use.

Here is a general introduction to the Womb Music:

The Womb Music is very safe and is designed to be used for home use. It has been both FDA and CE certified.

However, it is not a medical device to be used instead of normal medical checkups by a doctor.

"Ultrasound has been routinely used in obstetrics for more than 30 years. There is no scientific evidence of any harmful effects to the baby from the use of ultrasound during pregnancy. It's considered a very safe procedure because it doesn't involve potentially harmful radiation, so ultrasound is safe for both mother and baby." as quoted by the Mayo Clinic.

Testing is continuously done by multiple government agencies including the FDA which have indicated this type of monitoring has no adverse effect on the baby. While the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared this monitor for "continuous use" we recommend moderation with limited use in short intervals of 10 minutes or less, infrequently and primarily after the first trimester. If you are ever concerned we recommend that you seek the counsel of your doctor.

The Womb Music also does not use radiation of any kind, only sound waves are used, to monitor the baby's movements or heartbeat.

Some doctors recommend against home devices to listen to the baby's heartbeat - what would be their concern?

The primary concern from Doctors is that a customer, with their own monitor, won't use normal medical doctors as they should which is why we specifically recommend using your doctor as your ONLY medical advice.

The Womb Music IS NOT a medical device. It is designed to be used to enhance the bonding experience between you, your family and your baby. It is not to be used as a medical device or instead of a licensed doctor.

The Womb Music was developed to be used to help mommies and their families bond with their baby during the pregnancy. We've chosen to focus the features of the Womb Music on being able to share the experience of hearing your baby, long before the birth of your baby. Many times the spouse and family members don't realize that there is a little tiny human being growing in the mommy's belly.

Sometimes, it doesn't seem real until the baby is actually born. But that changes significantly when you are able to share in the experience of hearing the baby move, kick and especially the baby's heartbeat with other members of your family. The bonding of the spouse and family begin at a much earlier stage which enhances the experience for the mother as well.

Many of the mommies who've used the Womb Music monitor have told us in their reviews how much they love the Womb Music and how much it helped to reduce the mother's anxiety, especially during the early stages of pregnancy before they could even feel the baby moving.

Because of these reasons, we've focused on making the Womb Music easy to share with others. We've included two sets of earbuds to make it easy for your family to listen in. We've made it so that you can plug the Womb Music into a speaker to share the experience on video or with many folks in the room. We've even made it easy for you to connect the Womb Music to a computer to record and save the baby's heartbeat as an audio file. Once you save the video or audio file to your computer you can even share with family and friends that are far from home by uploading the file to Social Media or emailing them a copy.

The answer to this is very dependent on the mommy, where the placenta is located vs. the location of the baby, how far along you are, and many other variables.

We always recommend to check for your own heartbeat first to make sure everything is connected and working correctly. If you can hear your own heartbeat clearly then the Womb Music is working. Now you can focus on finding the baby's heartbeat.

Before 8 weeks it's nearly impossible to locate your baby with the Womb Music. Your baby is still just too small to find. Between 8 and 16 weeks it can be difficult to find the baby's heartbeat but not impossible.

In the user guide, we give you lots of tips on how to find the baby earlier in the pregnancy but it really comes down to luck that the baby is in the right spot and that you move the monitor slow enough to find it. If you don't hear the baby early on in your pregnancy, just wait a day or two and try again.

Take your time and move very slowly. Early on the baby's heartbeat is very soft so if you move to fast while looking you will miss it. But the joy of when you do find the baby is amazing and emotional opportunity you'll want to share with your family. Here is a video we created to help you find the baby:

First, let's check to make sure the monitor is working correctly. Please put it to your own heart and listen to how your heartbeat sounds. If you can't hear your own heartbeat, please make sure the monitor is on (green light is glowing) and it is turned all the way up. Also, make sure the earbud and splitter jack is plugged all the way in. If you can't hear your own heartbeat then your monitor may not be working correctly. Please contact us at Customer Service for assistance.

Now, assuming that the Womb Music is working, the most common reason that we find for not being able to find the baby is that you are moving the monitor to quickly. When we say to move it very slowly around your belly, we really mean SLOWLY.

Think of the Womb Music similar to the width of a laser pointer, as compared with a floodlight on your house. The flood-light has a very wide beam of light and everything in it would be visible. But the Womb Music is more like the laser pointer in that it needs to be pointed right at the baby to pick up anything. Only a slight movement away, by either you or the baby, will result in no sound. Because your heart is bigger it is easier to find. But your baby's heart is very very tiny and thus much more difficult to locate. Of course, as the baby grows bigger, so does the heart, which makes it easier to find.

This is why we suggest testing the Womb Music on your heart, because if it works on yours then it is working correctly. If you still haven't found your baby's heartbeat yet then it isn't because the Womb Music isn't working, it's because the little rascal is playing hide-n-seek and right now he/she's winning. But try again in a few days and you'll eventually find your baby.

Yes, the Womb Music will work with twins, triplets, etc. also but here is one thing you should keep in mind. Typically twins will be smaller than a single baby at any given point during the pregnancy. So when you are looking for your twins, you'll experience things in a similar way to someone who is not as far along, i.e. - if you are at 16 weeks with twins it may be more like listening for them at 12 weeks for a single baby. But other than that, the device should work the same for you as any mommy. You just have to find the baby and assuming one isn't in front of the other one you should be able to find distinct heartbeats for each.

Keep in mind that the monitor has a very narrow focus so when you find a baby's heartbeat it comes in very clear. But if you move to quickly or angle/move it away from pointing at the baby's heart, it will not be heard. This is actually a good thing because it allows you to focus on just one heartbeat at a time. It's sort of like using a laser pointer vs a floodlight. The monitor is more like a laser pointer that when it is pointed right at the heart, you'll hear it. So as long as the babies are not blocking one another you should be able to find one and then move to another position to find the other one.

Yes, there shouldn't be any reason it won't work just as easy for you as anyone else. We also know that customers have reported that a full belly of water actually makes it easier to find and listen to your baby.

We do recommend that you use some sort of gel or all you will get is a bunch of static especially when you move the Womb Music around on your belly. The gel helps it slide across your skin when you are moving it around and reduces the static.

We recommend using either Aloe Vera, KY (or another personal lubricant) or something similar. We've even had customers report that Baby Oil, Coconut Oil, Virgin Olive Oil or even Vaseline all work well are lubricants that most folks have handy already in their home. Your experience will be best if you use a liberal amount of gel also.

We do however suggest that you don't use colored gels or lotions. The gel is not included with the Womb Music monitor.

Many customers have told us the easiest way to share the experience with others is to either record a video of the experience or to record an audio of the heartbeat. Then you can share that file with others via social media or email.

In the User Guide, there are directions which will also help. Video: This is fairly easy to do by just using your own (or friends) cell phone camera to videotape the whole process of the mommy locating the baby and then listing to the baby's heartbeat. Check out the question below called "Can I use something other than the earbuds to listen to my baby?" on how you can connect an external speaker to the Womb Music so that the video camera can pick up the sound of the baby's heartbeat at the same time you video the experience. Then use your favorite Social Media Application to upload and share your video.

Audio: If you only want to capture the audio of your baby's heartbeat then you can follow these steps to do that.

Step 1 - Use the recorder cable to connect the Womb Music Monitor to your Microphone audio input jack on your computer. The recorder cable is the one with the mini-USB plug on one end and the 3.5 mm audio jack on the other end. Plug the mini-USB end into the appropriate plug on the Womb Music. Now plug the 3.5 mm audio jack into your computers "Audio Input Jack" or the "Microphone Jack" on your computer. The Womb Music Heartbeat Monitor appears to the computer as if it was a normal microphone. So by connecting it to the microphone jack on your computer, it would work just like if you connected a real microphone and recorded your voice, same concept but a different device.

Please note: While nearly every kind of computer has one of these there are some manufacturers that will leave that input jack off of the computer (some Apple Computers and Notebook Windows Computers) to save money and/or they combine the headphone and microphone jacks together. If you don't have this audio input or microphone jack on your computer then you will not be able to record the heartbeat to your computer directly without a special cable. This is not a limitation of the Womb Music, it is actually an issue with the computer you are trying to use because it doesn't have the normal microphone input jack to allow audio input via an external device. If this is the case, please contact Customer Service via our website and let us know so that we can arrange to send you a special cable which should solve the issue.

Step 2 - Now we need to open the program on your computer to record the audio input. How we do this and which program we use will depend on what kind of computer you are using so we're going to try and give you specific instructions for the two most common types of computers; Windows and Apple.

Windows Operating Systems:

• Click the "Start" button on the lower left corner of your computer screen
  
• Type "Recorder" in the search box on Windows and click to start the "Sound Recorder" program which will appear in the results.
  
• Now locate your baby's heartbeat. When you find it you should be able to see the beat on the Sound Recorder program. Now click the "Start Recording" button.
  
• After you’ve recorded enough of the baby's heartbeat, click the "Stop Recording" button.
  
• This will open up a dialog box on your computer to allow you to save the audio file to your computer. Make sure you select a logical folder to save the file in and give it a name like "Baby's Heartbeat - Week 16". This will make it easier to both find the file later on your computer and also know the difference between the files if you do more than one.
  
• Now you can use that audio file on social media or play it back for someone.
  
• You can also do a Google search for more details and/or a YouTube search for example videos on how to use your computer to record audio sounds.

Apple Operating Systems:

• Open the built-in "QuickTime Player" from your Applications folder.
  
• Open the file menu and select "New Audio Recording" from the drop-down menu.
  
• You'll need to click the "Down Arrow" on the right side of the program to select the microphone input. Make sure you select to use the "Built-in Input: Line In" selection. You can also select the quality of the recording you want and we suggest that you select "High".
  
• Below the red "Start Recording" button you can adjust the microphone (Womb Music) volume using the slider. We recommend that you turn this up.
  
• Now locate your baby's heartbeat. When you find it click the red "Start Recording" button.
  
• After you’ve recorded enough of the baby's heartbeat, click the "Stop Recording" button.
  
• This will open up a dialog box on your computer to allow you to save the audio file to your computer. Make sure you select a logical folder to save the file in and give it a name like "Baby's Heartbeat - Week 16". My Apple Computer doesn't have a Microphone Jack, what should I do?  Apple, in their wonderful need to be non-standard, seems to not include an external microphone jack in many of their computers like the MacBook Pro. Where the headphone jack is they've decided to use a very special type of jack that is not compatible with standard microphones. Since the Womb Music works just like a standard microphone, this type of jack needs a special cable to work with the Womb Music and/or any kind of standard microphone.

This is not a limitation of the Womb Music, it is actually an issue with the computer you are trying to use because it doesn't have the normal microphone input jack to allow audio input via an external device. If this is the case, please contact Customer Service via our website and let us know so that we can arrange to send you a special cable which should solve the issue.

Still, Need Help: You can also do an internet search for more details and/or a YouTube search for example videos on how to use your type of computer to record audio sounds.

Power Users: If you find that your computer doesn't have the above programs already loaded you can download a free program called "RecordPad Sound Recording Software" made by NCH Software which runs on both Windows and Mac computers. What we like about their software is that it is very easy to use but has more features than the Windows or Mac built-in software. Once the audio file is saved on your computer you would share it the same way you'd share any audio or video file on social media. The exact steps would be based on which social media you are using.

Each type of social media has its own steps so if you are not familiar with them for the social media channel you are using then the easiest way to get a clear answer is to Google "How do share my audio file on XXXX" (for example like this: https://www.google.com/?q=How+do+share+my+audio+file+on+Facebook) and you should find a clear answer.

For example, one way to do it is to upload an audio file here to Clyp It (https://clyp.it/) and then after it's uploaded you can share it on any social media account.

If you took a video with your phone, for example, you can usually upload videos directly to most social media accounts to share it without using the above link but again that depends on what type of social media account you'd like to share it too.

Actually, the answer is Yes, and we recommend it.

If you first listen to your own heartbeat, which is very easy to find, you'll be able to both confirm that the monitor is working correctly and you will now know what your own heartbeat sounds like.

Then when you listen for your baby's heartbeat you'll easily be able to hear the difference because the baby's heartbeat will be about twice as fast as your heartbeat is.

Where this can be very helpful is when you accidentally hear your heartbeat on the sides of your tummy where your arteries are and sometimes off the placenta. In these areas, you may hear your own heartbeat over the baby's heartbeat.

Some customers have recorded Mom's Heartbeat so that after the baby is born you can play it back to help soothe the baby. Think about it this way, for 9 months baby has been enjoying the comfort of mom's heartbeat while in the womb so it's very comforting for the baby to hear mom's heartbeat after making his or her grand entrance into the world.

You could even have the recording of mom's heartbeat put into the Heartbeat Stuffed Animal so you can easily play her heartbeat anytime you need to.

The Womb Music uses standard 3.5 mm audio jacks which can be used with common over the counter headsets, earbuds, and external speakers. As long as the other speaker device you'd like to use is the same 3.5 mm style, it should work fine with the Womb Music.

We've even had some customers tell us they connected it to their home stereo or surround sound system. Can you imagine listening to your baby in surround sound? It would almost be like your inside the womb with your baby. Now that could be really fun.

We recommend cleaning the gel from the transducer probe with a soft cloth. You can disinfect the probe by wiping it with 70% ethanol or alcohol wipes and then drying with a soft dry cloth.

• Do not use abrasives, solvents, bleach, soap and water, steam or high temperature cleaning processes to sterilize the unit as any of these can damage it.
• Do not immerse in water or liquids to clean the monitor as this will short out the electronics in the unit.
• Do not disassemble the unit - your warranty will be voided upon unauthorized disassembly or service to the monitor.
• Please be sure to register the monitor to extend your warranty.

The Womb Music Monitor is not Waterproof but it is Water Resistant with an IPX4 rating.

When a product is referred to as water resistant, it means it can withstand the effects of rain, snow, and other wet weather, but here's the most important point -- it should NOT be submerged in water. 

In contrast, when a product is referred to as waterproof it means the component is designed to withstand total submersion in water, which the Womb Music Monitor is not designed for.

We recommend that you use a soft dry cloth to wipe the Womb Music clean after use and avoid using soap and water that could penetrate the unit if you are not careful.

No, the Womb Music Heartbeat Monitor is just for listening to the sounds your baby makes. It also allows you to record those sounds to your computer to share with family or friends on social media.

No, the Womb Music is not intended to be used as a medical device.

It's primary features are to enhance the bonding experience with the mommy and the family.

Please rely on your doctor to check the health of the baby. If you are ever concerned about the sounds you hear you should contact your healthcare provider for assistance.

The main thing is to be able to hear the difference between your own heartbeat and that of your baby. We recommend you first use the Womb Music to listen to your own heartbeat so you will know what it sounds like. When you find your baby's heartbeat it will be twice as fast as your heartbeat is and may be a bit quieter.

We've had a few customers call us thinking that the battery cover was broken, only to find out it was actually just not installed correctly after putting the battery in.

So here are a few tips on the best way to put in the battery and then the cover:

1)  We recommend that you put the battery (be sure to take off the clear plastic cover first) into the monitor with the battery terminals near the bottom of the unit (opposite end of the On/Off/Volume dial) and with the battery wires on the right side between the clip and the inside wall. With the battery wires on the side, and not under the battery, the battery will sit lower and allow the cover to snap closed easier.
2)  Now take the nose end of the cover (the end nearest the On/Off/Volume dial), hold it at a 45 degree angle to the monitors body and put it in the hole.
3)  Slide the cover down towards the bottom until it stops while keeping it at a 45 degree angle.
4)  Now lay the cover flat on the body with the 3 other tabs in the holes. There should be a slight gap at the top of the cover.
5)  Now slide the cover towards the On/Off switch until it snaps into place and the gap is closed.

Also, we've found that if the battery has enough power to turn it on (the LED light comes on) but is a weak battery, the unit will NOT be able to detect the baby's heartbeat. So if the unit stops working but the light is still on, try replacing the battery with a NEW 9 volt brand name battery.

The Womb Music Baby Heartbeat Monitor does not use a rechargeable battery. It uses a standard 9 volt battery that needs to be replaced periodically.

Therefore, there is no charging cord for the Heartbeat Monitor. The cord that plugs into the USB port is actually the cord used for recording the baby's heartbeat to your computer/phone.

If the unit doesn't power up then replace the battery with a NEW 9 volt brand name battery to see if the battery may be dead.

Also, we've found that if the battery has enough power to turn it on (the LED light comes on) but is a weak battery, the unit will NOT be able to detect the baby's heartbeat. So if the unit stops working but the light is still on, try replacing the battery with a NEW 9 volt brand name battery.

However, if this hasn't resolved the problem then feel free to reach out to us at Customer Service.

When testing, always test it on your own heartbeat first to make sure it's working.

• Make sure a fresh 9 volt battery is installed.
  • A weak battery will light the power led but will NOT have enough power to be able to hear the baby so make sure to test with a NEW 9 volt name brand battery first.
  • Most of the time, this alone solves most problems.
• Check to make sure that the earbud wire is pushed all the way into the headset jack on the unit.
• If you are using the splitter, make sure that all wires are pushed fully into their respective jacks.
• Check all the wires to be sure they are in good condition.
• Be sure to turn up the volume using the On/Off/Volume dial.
• Check to see if you can hear your own heartbeat (which is louder and easier to find).

If one of the above doesn't solve the problem, also test removing the splitter and/or substituting the headset for the other headset we provided, or even one of your own personal headsets to see if either of the headsets or the splitter may be bad.

Make sure a fresh battery is installed. A weak battery can cause noise. Interference can be caused by nearby electronic devices (e.g. high frequency electronics, cell phones, cordless phones, etc.). 

Make sure there is plenty of lubricating gel between the probe and the abdomen.

Some slight noise does occur when moving the probe from one location to another on the abdomen and sufficient lubrication will decrease this significantly.

Check to see if you can hear your own heartbeat clearly without static (when the prob is stationary).

The Womb Music Belly Speaker System works using a 3.5 mm audio jack which is fairly common in most devices. So if your device has a 3.5 mm headphone jack or audio-out jack then purchasing the Speaker Pack version of our product should work fine for you.

But what we see in the cell phone industry especially is that manufactures of cell phones are removing the headphone jack and opting towards wireless solutions like Bluetooth. Because of that we developed the Womb Music Belly Speaker system to also work with our Bluetooth Controller. This allows you to connect the speaker to the controller and then sync your phone to the controller. The best way to get the Speaker and the Controller is to purchase the Deluxe Pack, which has everything.

Another advantage of using our Bluetooth Controller is that you have an infinite range of volume control for BOTH the Baby and for You! By using the controller you can set the volume that you like and then on the belly speaker cord, you can turn down the volume for the baby.

As technology continues to evolve we expect "most" cell phones to loose their 3.5 mm headphone jack. This is now true of all Apple products and some of the new Android products. Because of this trend we've had many customers come to us for just the Bluetooth Controller to use with either their previously purchased Womb Music Belly Speaker or a competitors product like Belly Buds which don't work with most modern phones. If you find yourself in this situation, you could purchase our Womb Music Bluetooth Controller and use it with your previously purchased Belly Speaker, regardless of who made it. No, the Womb Music Belly Speaker System is used to be able to play music, audio and talk with your baby.

Obviously, if you've already recorded music or audio that you want to play to your baby, that's pretty straight forward. But what if you want to read to or talk to your baby real-time, without having something pre-recorded? Well, that's also fairly easy to do. Let me explain.

You can't directly connect a microphone to the belly speaker without using some sort of device in between. The speaker gets the audio from a device that puts out a normal audio signal. The microphone puts out an audio signal but get's it's power to do so from a device (like a computer, tablet or phone). So we need to use a phone or a computer to make this work.

The easiest way is to connect your belly speaker to your cell phone and use your phones microphone to talk to your baby. This might be done several ways.

• One way would be to use the audio recorder on your phone to record the audio of you reading to the baby. Then when you play that audio, the audio will come out via the belly speaker.
  
• Another way is if you are having a phone conversation any audio that would be heard on your end of the phone would be played to the belly speaker. You could use another phone to call your phone, and then just read/talk to the baby directly without first recording the audio.
• The third and probably best way is to use an app on your phone. There are many apps similar to this so find one you trust. We've tested using an app called "Mic to Speaker" on an Android phone.

This app worked really well on both methods but of course, with the Bluetooth controller, you are able to control the sound volume much better since it puts out a stronger signal than a cell phone headphone jack does.

Set the belly speaker volume to a low setting - We recommend holding the speaker to your ear and adjust the audio level of the source audio device to a comfortable listening level for you while the speaker is next to your ear. By doing this, what you'd hear is the same as what your baby will hear.

Remember that your baby is in a fluid environment and sound travels easily in fluids so you do not need to set it any louder than what you'd want to listen to it if the speaker is next to your ear.

You can control the Belly Speaker volume independently of the source audio by adjusting the volume control on the speaker.

Once the volumes are adjusted, then apply the sticky gel pad to the speaker and then put the speaker to your belly.

If you'd also like to listen to the music/audio you need to connect your headphones to one of the two provided headphone jacks so that you can listen in with your baby. The output from the belly speaker is for the baby, not for the parents.

Sometimes customers recorder apps record in m4a or mov video file formats, not an mp3. For the Bluetooth Controller to play the file it must be in an mp3 format. So video files like m4a and mov need to be converted to mp3 before copying the file to the sound module.

There are several free tools online available to do the conversion. We've had customers for years use CloudConvert successfully to convert most file types to other file types. Here's a link to it: cloudconvert.com/mp3-converter

Frequently, depending on the settings when the audio file was created, the audio files volume may be very low. Our product is designed to "expect" normal music audio done by studios at industry standard settings. If your audio files audio is much quieter than that, then it may be difficult for you to adjust the volume enough using the controller or your phone to compensate for this.

This is most obvious to hear if you can play a standard "professional" music file and the volume is fine, but when you play your audio recording (without changing any settings), the volume is way to low. This means that your audio files volume is not to industry standards.

But there is a fairly easy solution.

We've found that some cell phones do not put out enough power through the headphone jack to adequately produce clear sound using the belly speaker when connected directly to the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Sometimes these phones sound output may seem low volume, distorted or muffled.

If you find that using the speaker directly connected with your cell phone's 3.5 mm headphone jack is not very clear, then we've created a Special Audio Adapter that can make the sound clearer with these types of cell phones. Please Contact Us and we'll be glad to send you this special adapter free of charge.

Alternatively, we offer our Bluetooth Controller which was developed to provide much higher quality sound to the belly speaker. The controller provides an amplified signal which is not available when connecting directly to your cell phones headphone jack. If you already have a belly speaker but would like to add a Bluetooth Controller you'd want to get the Controller Pack to add that item.

If the speaker cord should make the audio crackle as it's moved around, this might indicate that there is a break in the cord. Please contact us at customer service and we'd be glad to arrange for a replacement.

The Belly Speaker is designed to be plugged into a special audio port we've designed into the Controller. This port is located on the LEFT side of the Controller when you are looking at the front of it. If you turn the Controller over the port will be on the RIGHT side of the Controller and will have a Speaker symbol next to it. The port is directly opposite from the AUX jack. When it's plugged into the Belly Speaker Jack the speaker works with clear audio.

However, if you plug it into either of the Headphone jacks located at the top of the Controller, the audio may not be as clear. The Headphone jacks do not put out enough power to adequately produce clear sound using the belly speaker. Sometimes the sound output may seem low volume, distorted or muffled.

Please move the Belly Speaker connection cable to the Belly Speaker jack and this should solve the problem.

Alternatively, you can use the Special Audio Adapter that we've created that can make the sound clearer when using the Belly Speaker with headphone jacks. Please Contact Us and we'll be glad to send you this special adapter free of charge.

The Womb Music Belly Speaker and the Womb Music Belly Speaker Controller are not Waterproof but it is Water Resistant with an IPX4 rating.

When a product is referred to as water resistant, it means it can withstand the effects of rain, snow, and other wet weather, but here's the most important point -- it should NOT be submerged in water. 

In contrast, when a product is referred to as waterproof it means the component is designed to withstand total submersion in water, which the Womb Music Belly Speaker and Controller are not designed for.

We recommend that you use a soft dry cloth to wipe the Womb Music clean after use and avoid using soap and water that could penetrate the unit if you are not careful.

The Womb Music Controller contains an internal battery that needs to be charged. We recommend charging it fully before your first use.

If pressing the Power On button for more than 5 seconds and then releasing it, doesn't turn on the controller, then most likely the battery is dead and needs to be recharged.

Please use the included USB Data/Charging cable and any standard USB charger to re-charge the battery. 

The Battery LED indicator light will be lit when charging and will go out once it is fully charged.

Also, when using the controller, it will announce when the battery is getting low so that you can connect it to the charger before it is fully depleted. You can continue to use the controller while it is being charged if you wish.

The controller's internal battery should be fully charged using the included USB charging cable before it's first use. Once fully charged, the LED battery light will go out.

On a full charge, the battery should last about 10 hours of playing time.

Be sure to turn it off when not in use or use the SLEEP mode to automatically turn it off after 30 minutes.

If you'd like to fall asleep while using the Controller and Speaker then simply press the Sleep button one time. This will put it into Sleep Mode.

Once it's activated, the controller will continue to play music for about 30 minutes.

During the last 5 minutes of the sleep timeout, the controller will begin to decrease the volume so that as it shuts off, the volume is about 25% of what you had been listening to.

At that point, the controller will power off until you power it back on manually.

To end the Sleep Mode without turning off the controller, simply press the Sleep button again and it will return to normal operation.

The Womb Music Belly Speaker Controller uses a rechargeable battery that is internal to the controller and not replaceable.

The battery can be recharged by using the supplied USB Data/Charging Cord. Simply connect one end to the controller and the other end into a standard USB charger.

If you should loose your charging cord, any standard USB cord with the same connections should be able to be used to recharge your controller.

But if you can't locate the cord and/or need help replacing the cord, please feel free to reach out to us at Customer Service.

No, the Womb Music Belly Speaker system is a speaker designed to allow you to play music, your voices, etc to your baby.

Wusic also makes the Womb Music Heartbeat Monitor which works similar to the fetal doppler your doctor uses to listen to the baby. The Heartbeat Monitor sold by Wusic allows you to hear your baby's heartbeat and other sounds while still in mother's belly.

But the Womb Music Belly Speaker system doesn't listen to the baby, it only plays sounds to the baby.

The Womb Music Belly Speaker and gel pad is the only thing that is in contact with the mother's belly.

The speaker doesn't have anything but the sound coming out of it so it's very safe for both you and your baby.

The Womb Music Bluetooth Controller also does not emit radiation of any sort. It uses Bluetooth, similar to the type of headset/earbud you would use on your head, to connect to your phone. While this is also very safe,  the controller is not in contact with the mother's belly so is not a concern for the baby.
